Calli'stratus, Domi'tius

Δομίτιος Καλλίστρατος), is mentioned seven times by Stephanus of Byzantium, as the author of a work on Heracleia (περὶ Ἠρακλείας), which consisted of at least seven books. (Steph. Byz. s. v. Ὀλύμπη.) If, as it appears, he is the same as the one mentioned by Athenaeus (vi. p. 263), he was a disciple of Aristophanes of Byzantium. (Comp. Schol. ad Aeschyl. Pers. 941, ad Apollon. Rhod. 1.1125, 2.780; Suid. s. v. Φιλόξενος.)
